Bio for Adaline "Ada" Veiock Bagnell
Written by Susan Veiock, Ft Lauderdale, Fl

Ada Veiock was the eleventh child of Balthasar and Dorothea Deitrich.  Born in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pa., she lived a short 46 years...years filled with many ups and downs.
Her sister, Lydia Veiock, died on Sunday, 29 September, 1888.  The very next year, 1889, another sister, Katie (Mrs. Catherine Kraiss), died.  Both sisters were buried in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton, Beaver County, Pa.
At the end of 1889, Ada married Harry Grant Bagnell on Christmas Day.  She was only 19 so her father had to give his permission for this marriage.
The following year, 1890 on 5 October, Ada and Harry buried their young son, Charles, in Grove Cemetery.  He was only 4 days old.
In 1891, Ada gave birth to Harvey "Harry" E. Bagnell.  In 1893, a baby girl arrived on July 20th.  They named her Hilda M. Bagnell.  The joy was short lived as their son Harvey died 6 November, 1895.  He is also buried in Grove Cemetery.
1897 saw the birth of another son on 20 September.  They named him Clifford E. Bagnell.  His brother, Wilmer G. Bagnell, arrived 24 October, 1898.  These boys would grow to manhood.
However, 2 April, 1900, saw the death of Hilda Bagnell.  She was only 6 and is buried in Grove Cemetery.
Ada's last child was born on 25 May, 1909, Helen Mae Bagnell.  Helen lived 73 years and gave birth to Ada's two grandchildren, Harvery Grant Braine and a "living" female Slaughter.
On 3 February, 1910, Ada learned that her niece, Mary Belle "Mollie" Veiock Hickman, daughter of her brother William, had been murdered by her husband, Charles Hickman.  Two months later, her nephew, Thomas M. Veiock, also the son of her brother William, died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
In 1916, Clifford entered the military service in Co. B, 110 Inf., 28th Division.
Ada died that year.  She had given birth to 6 children and only 3 lived to be adults.  She mercifully didn't learn that her son Clifford would die during the war.  She was interred in Grove Cemetery next to her son Charles.
